A grant of £400 to pay for artists to visit primary schools and prepare for the Falmouth Oyster Festival children’s parade has been agreed by town councillors.
The council told applicant John Frankland that they would pay half of the requested amount of £800, as this was not the first time the parade had applied for such a payment, which is intended to provide one-off subsidies, and proposed that he submit an application for an annual grant instead.
