Police are trying to trace those responsible for pushing plants, soil and stones into the petrol tank of a black Vauxhall Omega parked in Bar Lane, Falmouth, overnight Friday/Saturday.
The suspect(s) removed the fuel cap and pushed plants into the petrol tank causing soil, stones and other debris to enter the tank. They also covered both the front and rear windscreens with flowers which had been taken from a nearby garden.
The car cannot be used and it is likely to cost £500 for the tank to be removed and cleaned. The police at Falmouth are appealing for witnesses, or for the |offender(s) to come forward.
Anyone with information is asked to call the police on 101 and quote crime reference CR/100629/14.
