Fancy Pants shop takes the Tall Ships prize
A TALL Ships window display competition for businesses in Falmouth was won by the Fancy Pants charity shop.
The Packet Ship display in the shop in Webber Street Falmouth, was created by local artist Rowena, along with Sharon Wincott the shop manager.
Many of the articles and garments displayed were loaned by Chris Spencer – Road Show Antique shop.
Imagedelivery, also in Webber Street was commended for its shop window display centred around photographs taken by a Swede suffering from TB who travelled as an outward passenger from Stockholm returning from Australia on the Herzogin Cecilie off Falmouth in May 1930.
This vessel was lost off the Devon coast in 1936.
