Warm weather and a raft of fun greeted visitors to the Lambs Lane and Ashfield Members Association fun day at the Trescobeas play area in Falmouth on Saturday.

Kicking off at noon, the event had a variety of games and children’s races, barbecue, fairground ride, face painting, a tombola, a cake stall and refreshments.

One of the highlights was a chance to sit on classic motorcycles, organised by local councillor David Saunby, while tips on safety thanks to Falmouth Cycles meant the bike track was packed with racing children.

The chance to dress up in a police uniform was also popular, as PCSO Ellie Grey helped the youngsters don hats and jackets and act out cops and robbers.

Sheila Rollison, vice secretary of LLAMA said: “We had a lovely day, everyone who attended really enjoyed themselves and the weather was lovely.

The funds raised will help us to fund more entertainment next year, and we are always raising money to make improvements to the park, perhaps a swing for the older children.

“LLAMA is here for the whole estate, and it was wonderful to see the children and community enjoy themselves so much.

“The feedback from the community was that the atmosphere was brilliant.”
