Firefighters were called to the main road between Redruth and Penryn this afternoon after a report of a car on fire.
Crews found the car 'well alight' at Pelean Cross, Ponsanooth, just after 12:20pm.
One appliance from Falmouth attended after an initial report that smoke was coming from the car on the side of the A393.
Firefighters wearing two breathing apparatus used one hose reel to extinguish the flames.
