Staff at a Falmouth greengrocer’s had a nasty surprise when they arrived for work to find their stock splattered over nearby shop fronts.
Workers arrived at Stokes on Market Street to find that vandals had taken the shop’s overnight delivery of eggs and thrown them around the street, hitting windows, doorways, telephone boxes and shops around the Prince of Wales Pier and Market Street area, including the front of Rowe’s Bakery.
As well as requiring a large clean-up, Stokes are reported to have lost around £100 worth of eggs, leaving customers to go without, and are understood to be reconsidering their delivery arrangements.
