Penryn College head girl Clara Husbands has been granted a prestigious Headmasters’ Scholarship to study at Millfield School. Millfield is widely renowned as one of the leading UK independent schools for boys and girls, aged two to 18 years, for both academic and sporting excellence.

Clara, 15, visited Millfield in November for two stages of an interview process, initially applying separately for academics and sports scholarships.

She was quick to point out the important role Penryn College played in her successful application. “I’m so pleased to have been given such a fantastic opportunity. I need to work hard between now and then, but I can’t wait to start at Millfield,” she said. “I can’t thank the college enough for its support throughout the process.”

Clara was eventually granted a Headmasters’ Scholarship to combine both academics and sports. Her studies will begin in September.
