There was an outbreak of Christmas fair fever at St Francis Primary School in Falmouth last Friday as parents and children go together for some festive fun.

With games galore, enough party food to fill even Santa’s big belly, and plenty of stalls on which to pick up a Christmas bargain, the annual event saw hundreds arrive to join in the school’s celebrations.

A highlight for parents was a chance to hear pupils sing Christmas songs in the assembly hall.

There was also a special guest appearance from Father Christmas and his helpers, with children visiting him in a special grotto set up especially for the occasion.

The event, which was organised by The Friends of St Francis, raised £1,500, some of which will be used to buy new educational resources.

A spokesperson for the school said: “It was a fun day for all the family. There was a great festive atmosphere.”
