The seventh Marie Curie Holly Ball, held in Falmouth last month, has been hailed a great success, raising over £6,000 for the charity.
Partygoers at Merchants Manor enjoyed a gala buffet followed by entertainment, which included live music with local band The Strutts, the Royale Blue Fun Casino and a raffle and tombola. Prizes |had been donated by |local businesses and Marie Curie supporters.
Ceri Crowther, local Marie Curie community fundraiser, said: “Our heartfelt thanks go |to the Falmouth fundraising group for organising this fabulous event. The tremendous hard work and effort by this group of volunteers means so much to people and their families |living with terminal illness in Cornwall.
“Funds raised from the Holly Ball will be spent on the local nursing service in Cornwall, whereby Marie Curie nurses can help to facilitate people’s wishes to spend their last weeks and days in their own homes.”
