This year’s Flushing pantomime, Mother Goose, opens at St Peter’s Church Hall on Tuesday February 10, running until Saturday, February 14.

Irene Gardiner, one of the organisers, said: “You will see how the fortunes of Mother Goose, played by Cath Devereux, change when Virtue, a good fairy played by Lucy Collett, decides to send her a magic goose called Candy, played by Steve Hancock, who lays golden eggs.

“Unfortunately, lots of people try to steal Candy, including Vanity, a wicked fairy played by Layla Crabtree, who tricks Mother Goose into giving away her goose in order to become beautiful.

“Will Mother Goose learn her lesson and realise that some things are more important than beauty? You will soon find out when you come.”

Performances are at 7.30pm every night and picnic nights, with tickets costing £6, are Tuesday 10, Wednesday 11, and Friday 13 February, when audience members will be seated at tables and bring their own picnic and drinks.

Seated performances, with tickets costing £5 for adults and £4 for children, are on Thursday 12 and Saturday 14 February.

Tickets are available from the village shop and The Seven Stars pub, with all proceeds going to Flushing village school.

Irene added: “You are in for a memorable and magical evening.”
