A second serious crash on the main road between Falmouth and Truro in just over a week left one peson injured on Saturday.
Police shut the road in both directions between the Treluswell roundabout and Devoran roundabout following the crash just before 9pm.
Both crews from Falmouth Fire Station, plus a rescue tender from Camborne were called to the two vehicle crash that left one person trapped in the wreckage.
Fire crews used crash rescue equipment at the scene to release the casualty and helped paramedics.
It is the second time in just over a week that the same stretch of road has been shut due to a collision.
On Friday last week 27-year-old Matthew Hodges lost his life after the BMW he was driving collided with a tree next to the dual carriageway way section.
