The organisation's baton has been on a national tour
Banner waving representatives from Women’s Institutes from across the local area were out in force in Falmouth |yesterday to welcome the baton which is being carried the length and breadth of the country.
The WI Centenary Link Baton has been touring WI Federations across England, Wales and the Islands since January 2014.
It is designed to celebrate the friendship and community that links the WI, with the tour ending at the organisation’s annual meeting in June at the Royal Albert Hall, London.
Members of local WI branches were at the Maritime Museum in Falmouth yesterday afternoon when the baton arrived in town. The celebrations included cream teas all around.
