BF Adventure has been awarded a £53,783 grant by BBC Children in Need to deliver and develop their learning difficulty and disability provision at the centre.

The charity says that the funds, over two years, will "help make a difference to the lives of disadvantaged children and young people right here in Cornwall".

BF Adventure have been running LDD programmes for 25 years, providing support for families including short breaks and family adventure days.

With government funding reduced in many areas and the provision "at risk", the funds will allow BF Adventure to "continue reaching out to people with Learning Difficulties and Disabilities in Cornwall by funding the support, delivery and development of their programme and provide support to children in need".

Adrian Richards, CEO at BF Adventure said; “We could not reach out to the young people in Cornwall without the support of BBC Children in Need. This grant will go on to change the lives of so many young people and their families giving them the support they need.”

BF Adventure is now recruiting for someone with appropriate skills and a passion for supporting disabled and disadvantaged young people to help promote, maintain and support this provision. For more information email enquiries@bfadventure.org or call 01326 340912
