Firefighters were called out to Portloe, St Mawes, yesterday evening after a report of an out of control bonfire.
Twelve firefighters on three appliances from St Mawes and Mevagissey attended the call to a bonfire which had spread to surrounding vegetation and was close to a terrace of domestic properties.
Crews used one jet and one hose reel supplied from a hydrant along with beaters to extinguish the fire.
