Cornwall Council Harbours Board and Penryn Town Council have come to an agreement over the continued operation of the public toilets on Exchequer Quay.
After the town council decided earlier this year to stop funding the operation of the toilets, the harbours board was asked if it would step into the breach, and a “win-win” situation has now been reached whereby the board will pay if the council continues to manage the facilities.
Town clerk Michelle Davey said: “It’s a win-win situation for everybody. It keeps the toilets open, saves the council money, and saves the board the hassle.”
