Students have voted Falmouth University as one of the UK’s top universities in the Whatuni Student Choice Awards 2015.

The awards, which took place last night in London, are based entirely on reviews written by past and current students and saw Falmouth University named as fifth in the UK in the overall experience category.

The awards rate 113 universities across a number of categories including accommodation, societies, courses and lecturers, job prospects, student union, facilities and an overall rating, which counts towards the title of university of the year.

Falmouth was named as second for student support, fourth for facilities, fifth for course and lecturers, and eleventh for accommodation.

This comes just two weeks after it was announced that Falmouth was first for campus environment, library services and student welfare in the Times Higher Education (THE) Student Experience Survey.

Professor Anne Carlisle, Vice-Chancellor & Chief Executive, said: “I am very pleased with Falmouth’s success in this year’s Whatuni Student Choice Awards, which provide further evidence of Falmouth’s high quality student experience.

“These results from an extensive national survey of current students will reassure prospective students that Falmouth is amongst the very best for teaching, support, facilities and more.”

Whatuni has collated 20,000 student reviews over the past year to calculate the university ratings in each category. For a full list of the Whatuni Student Choice Award results visit www.whatuni.com/student-awards-winners
