The first Parklive of the year took place in Falmouth’s Kimberley Park on Sunday where those who had defied the forecast of bad weather were treated to a mix of music, dance and poetry.

The first season of Parklive events was staged by community radio station Source FM in 2013 and proved such a success that they have continued to attract participants and audiences.

The popular events are held on the last Sunday of each month through the summer, starting in April and continuing through until the end of September.

The first one of 2015 featured performances by Victoria’s Dance Academy, Viv Robertson, October, Freedom Guilt Equation, Preaching Country, The Wood and many more.

As in previous years, the radio station had secured funding from Falmouth Town Council which had approved a £2,000 donation towards this year’s six events.
