Villagers in Ponsanooth enjoyed a morning of fun and face painting last weekend while raising money for victims of the Nepalese earthquake.
Fundraiser Vicki Barton organised the community morning at Ponsanooth Community Hall last Saturday, including face painting, a raffle, bric-a-brac stall, as well as coffee, cake and ice cream, and attracted around 50 to 60 people who helped raise £342 for charity Shelterbox to help the earthquake survivors.
She said: "Everyone really enjoyed it. People had fun and were able to meet their friends."
She added: "Thank you to everyone who supported us and helped out."
Vicki decided to help the Nepalese and raise money for Shelterbox after her friend Gareth Joseph came back from the country, where he had been travelling when the area he was in was struck by the quake.
She said: "I decided to do something, and to try to help.
"Shelterbox is an amazing charity, their work is not only giving people shelter, but it's about making a home, so there are boxes with tools, and school boxes too."
