Two Penryn voluntary associations have signed an agreement to encourage closer co-operation within the town, and now want more groups to join.
At the monthly meeting of the Penryn branch of the Royal British Legion, which was held at ASDA's training facility on Wednesday evening, members signed an Agreement of Affiliation with the Rotary Club of Penryn to encourage mutual support within the town.
Derek Williams, legion branch chairman, welcomed several rotarians to the meeting, including the club's president Ann Congdon and secretary John Ball, and said he was "pleased and proud to be working towards common objectives that support legion members, beneficiaries and the town of Penryn as a whole."
He added: "This was the culmination of several months collaboration and it is hoped that the agreement can be expanded to include other like minded organisations."
