Devoran Parish Council have answered calls for a defibrillator in the village, by placing one in a disused phone box.
The lifesaving device is one of two bought by the council with help from the British Heart Foundation, and can be found at the bottom of Market Street, with the second to be sited either in Feock or Carnon Downs.
A spokesperson said: "We will be having a grand opening for the Devoran phone box defibrillator in the summer, so keep an eye on noticeboards for a date."
The council has also undertaken to provide free CPR and defibrillator training for local residents and the first session is being held in July, for more information contact the office on 01872 863 333.
