Penryn Week turned to fashion week as the town's answers to Cara Delevigne and Lily Cole strutted their stuff in the Temperance Hall.

Models of all ages turned out for the Penryn Fashion last Thursday, striking their best poses in outfits donated by Asda and New Look.

Even the spectators got dressed up for the evening, including several town councillors with their children and grandchildren, and the town's fairy queen with her attendants in full regalia.

Show organiser Mary May said: "Each model was able to choose two outfits.

"Staff at New Look assisted in choosing the outfits, and topped them up with shoes and jewellery to match."

As well as watching the models showcasing ensembles of leisure and day wear, the audience were also treated to demonstrations of hairstyling and makeup.
