A small group of volunteers proved that bigger isn't always better as they hit the Glasney Valley for a Penryn Week tidy up.
Just three members of the Glasney Green Space Regeneration Project took part in the litter pick, but they left the footpath, river, follies and surrounding areas looking spick and span ahead of the town's reinstated beating of the bounds walk.
Group secretary Pip Carlton-Barnes said: "The clean-up went really well considering there was only three of us. People did pass and commented on how lovely it looked again."
Pip said the group is also excited after having received a grant from Penryn Town Council to buy new wildlife cameras to help the local community learn about the fauna which roams the green valley at the centre of the community.
She said: "These we hope will inspire schools, nurseries, local groups and visitors to the area to appreciate the other inhabitants in the valley.
"The footage will be available to access via our website and the cameras are night vision enabled so we hope to get some real treats."
