A very localised rainbow came to Mylor recently, with a pot of gold at the end for two Cornish charities.
Around 220 children turned up at Dowstall Farm for an afternoon of messy, colourful fun, as they raced around a track while being pelted with powder of various hues.
Organisers Kathryn Hammill and Ruth Davis arranged the event to raise money for for two charities, Penhaligons Friends and Children's Hospice South West, and with 450 people attending they managed to collect £3,660.
The races were divided into three age groups, one to four years, five to eight years, and nine to 13 years, with children collecting sponsorship money before running the race in special event t-shirts provided by event sponsor Jukoprint.
Kathryn said: "It was a brilliant day full of fun and colour, it was so lovely to see so many families and friends come along and enjoy the event as much as the children did.
"The event went really well and we are all so thrilled at the amount that has been raised, that will go towards two amazing charities."
