Coastguards and RNLI crew members rescued an angler after he injured his head falling on rocks at Pennance Point near Swanpool last weekend.

The inshore lifeboat was launched at around 8.45am last Sunday to help Falmouth Coastguard Cliff Rescue Team with the evacuation of the injured man, and he was put in the boat and taken to Swanpool Beach to be handed to paramedics with a waiting ambulance.

An RNLI spokesperson said: "The angler had been fishing from the rocks with his son when he had fallen over and suffered a head injury.

"Once on scene the cliff rescue team had assessed the situation and had decided that the quickest and most suitable method of evacuation was by boat so had requested the assistance of the inshore lifeboat."
