Two fire engines had to be called to fight a large bonfire in the Bissoe area on Wednesday afternoon.
One engine was sent from Truro just before 2pm, and arrived to find a large bonfire of domestic and possibly trade waste, and called for help from a second crew.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus put out the flames using a high pressure hosereel.
