The annual Fal River Walk, which had to be postponed from earlier this year, is now to be held on Sunday, September 27.
The walk involve a new partnership with the National Trust at Trelissick where the event will start and finish. Walkers may choose either a Long Walk of 15 miles, or a Short Walk of six miles.
The principal charity for 2015 will be The Cove Project which is the Macmillan Cancer
Support and Information Centre to be built in Cornwall, at Treliske Hospital.
Also benefitting will be The National Trust and the Rotary Club Trust Fund which helps local and international charities.
Following feedback from the 2014 event, entry fees include a donation to the charities instead of requiring walkers to raise sponsorship.
Nonetheless, additional donations through sponsorship will be very welcome and will help to boost the total raised for the charities.
Parking at Trelissick is included together with various river crossings by ferry and, of course,
the very welcome cream tea provided at the finish.
