Providence appears to have shone down on St Peter's Church's annual fete in Flushing on Monday afternoon.
The weather was clear and sunny as the village gathered on the bowling green to have a go at traditional fair games, browse the stalls and enjoy the entertainment.
There were games such as splat the rat, quoits and bowling, stalls from bric a brac and books to sweets and cakes, and performances of brass band music and Punch and Judy.
John Symons, leader of Mylor Parish Council, who opened the fete, said: "It's a really good turnout.
"That's what Flushing does, and St Peter's Church always seems to do well."
Referring to the lovely weather which greeted the event following what he described as a couple of "atrocious" weeks, he added: "I think somebody spoke to their boss about today," with a nod towards the vicar.
