Falmouth's all-weather lifeboat was called out on Friday evening to a yacht in the Carrick Roads with a reported engine fire.
The volunteer crew was paged at around 6.20pm and sent to the 12 metre yacht Enigma of Falmouth which had with two people on board and was 500 metres east of the docks' eastern breakwater.
An RNLI spokesperson reported that the yacht was towed to a mooring "once it was established there was no risk of fire."
