Probably best to batten down the hatches today as heavy rain and gale force winds sweep across Cornwall with an amber warning for flooding issued for the county.
The Met Office says it will be a very unsettled day with frequent outbreaks of persistent, occasionally heavy rain which may cause some flooding.
Strong winds are also expected, with gales or severe gales, particularly over high ground and on southern coasts. Maximum Temperature 11°C.
Tonight: Rain will gradually clear away to the east, and there will be occasional clear spells, although some light showers will continue. Gales easing, but winds still remaining fairly strong. Minimum Temperature 3°C.
Sunday will be a brighter day with showers and occasional sunny spells, however more persistent rain will arrive from the west in the afternoon, and winds will increase later, with gales likely again. Maximum Temperature 10°C.
