Large amounts of surface water and localised flooding are causing hazardous conditions, with drivers warned to slow down and be aware of debris in the road.

An ongoing problem area is the A30, which is partially blocked near Penzance following a landslip, flooding and a fallen tree.

The damage is causing disruption between the Treweath Road junction in Penzance and Loggans Moor Roundabout at Copperhouse.

There were also earlier reports of a fallen tree partially blocking Silver Hill in Perranwell.

Police warned there could be delays, with the road blocked partially blocked in both directions.

Further up the county police are dealing with a series collision involving two cars, in the St Stephen area.

The A3058 at Gwindra Road is closed and there is slow traffic in both directions between the Churchtown Road junction and the B3279 junction, with a diversion in place sending traffic via the B3279.

An amber warning for flooding has been issued for the county, with the Met Office predicting it will be very unsettled all day.

Frequent outbreaks of persistent, occasionally heavy rain are expected, as well as gale-force wind, with gusts of up to 50mph.
