The life saving work of police officers in Cornwall yesterday has come in for praise.
Superintendent Ian Drummond-Smith took to Twitter this morning to recognise the actions of two officers who saved a man from a burning caravan.
Spt Drummond-Smith said he was writing to the pair in Newquay, adding: "[They] literally arrived just in time, broke down a door and saved him. Well done."
In a second tweet, 30 minutes later, he said he was writing to two officers who put themselves in the line of duty to save a man from a fire.
Both officers had to be treated by medics afterwards, with one taken to hospital by ambulance, but they were "OK now".
It is not clear if the superintendent was referring to the same incident or a different one.
