The Royal Duchy Hotel in Falmouth is hosting its first ever garden tea party in support of Cornwall Community Foundation on Monday, May 2.

Billed as an opportunity to dress for a sense of occasion, guests can enjoy a glass of Prosecco with tea time treats including finger sandwiches, scones and cakes. Weather permitting, the event will take place on the hotel’s terrace and lawn to make the most of the stunning Falmouth Bay sea views, whilst talented vocalist Tamsin Ball provides musical entertainment. If the weather is bad tables will be arranged in the restaurant.

“We wanted to do something special that makes the most of our beautiful location,” said Royal Duchy manager Barry Taylor.

“Our aim is to create an atmosphere that combines style, delicious food and timeless elegance to make the whole experience memorable. We’re also delighted to be fundraising for Cornwall Community Foundation which does such good work around the county.”

The Royal Duchy’s Garden Tea Party will take place from 2-5pm on May 2. Tickets cost £25 per person, or £20 if it is raining, with 10% discount for groups of ten or more, and £2 from each booking will be donated to the Cornwall Community Foundation.

Tickets can be purchased from the hotel reception or call 01326 313042 to reserve them.
