A Penryn-based charity has unveiled its new promotional video after winning a competition run by a Cornish film company.

Outdoor charity BF Adventure, which provides programmes for young people with physical, mental, learning and behavioural difficulties, has had the video made by Wadebridge based Outpost Pictures after winning a public vote.

The film promotes the activity centre, which provides a revenue stream for the charity to allow it to carry out its work with young people.

The charity offers a positive and inclusive approach to develop skills and confidence, increase self-belief and help those it works with to achieve more positive participation in society.

It runs its courses across a 60 acre site and with water-filled granite quarries, providing archery, rock climbing, abseil, canoeing, bush craft and zip wire for over 4,000 young people each year, as well as accepting paying members of the public to fund its work.

Adrian Richards, chief executive at BF Adventure, said: "We were over the moon at winning the Outpost Pictures competition, our last promotional film was produced in 2010 and was very outdated. We have had an excellent response to the new film and hope to encourage more people to visit BF Adventure and Cornwall to see the exciting activities we offer.

"Poppy and Mike were brilliant to work with and really captured the site and activities in the film."

Poppy Chandler, director at Outpost, said: "We have loved filming at BF Adventure, it is an outstanding site of natural beauty and we were able to display some incredible visuals with their adventurous activities. We strive for our work to be socially responsible and we believe in giving back to the communities where our clients live and work."

The film has been launched on YouTube, BF Adventure social media channels and on the website, to see the film go to www.bfadventure.org.
