Falmouth Marine School will be holding a free community open day next weekend so visitors can see its brand new buildings and take part in a number of activities.
The school is offering visitors an opportunity to feed piranhas, build a canoe, hoist a sail, meet the sharks, service an engine, and enjoy refreshments in its new café.
The open day takes place on Saturday, May 28, from 11am-3pm, and is open to all ages. Course information on boatbuilding, marine biology, marine engineering and watersports will also be available from lecturers for those interested in pursuing a career in marine studies.
Justin Olosunde, head of Falmouth Marine School, said: “Exciting times lie ahead for Falmouth Marine School. This recent redevelopment has resulted in an accessible, efficient and effective campus and we want our local community to come and be part of it.”
