The volunteer crew of Falmouth's inshore lifeboat attended a medical emergency on the Truro River on Tuesday morning (14/6) after following reports of a sick sailor.
The crew were paged at around 8am after the man, who lived aboard a yacht on the river, had woken feeling unwell and vomiting, and his wife had called the coastguard.
An RNLI spokesperson said: "Crew members trained in casualty care went aboard the yacht to assess the casualty’s condition, before they transferred him to the lifeboat for a short trip up the river to a waiting ambulance at Malpas.
"He was handed over to the paramedics and the lifeboat was released to return to station."
