Penryn Museum's new education officer has been busy preparing a new programme for young history buffs since he was appointed earlier this year.

History writer Peter Bodle was chosen for the role at the museum's spring meeting, and has now created a series of ‘things to do’ in preparation for the new school year starting in September.

There are three age range sets of activities arranged to roughly match the scholastic steps of pre-school and junior school, middle school, and senior school or college.

The Penryn Museum has a variety local history resources and the team has said it's aim is to enable local students of all ages to access this and to incorporate the museum in their education.

The museum brochure has also been re-vamped to cater for these same students, to give them a work sheet for their visit and for work and reference at home.

The Penryn Museum is in the town hall and is open on weekdays from 10am until 3.30pm.
