Falmouth Coastguard watched from their operations centre yesterday (16/6)as a rescue team helped a woman with a broken ankle on the other side of the Carrick Roads.
Falmouth Coastguard Rescue Team were sent to help the ambulance service just after 1pm, after the casualty fell in a steep field at Amsterdam Point in St Mawes.
A coastguard spokesperson said: "On scene, we found the lady, who'd fallen in the steep field leading to the cliff path. She'd suffered a suspected broken ankle.
"We assisted the ambulance crew with first aid and packaged the casualty onto our 'Alpine' stretcher.
"Once the lady was comfortable, we then carried her over some very rough terrain to the Ambulance."
The team thanked the King Harry Ferry for getting them to the Roseland quickly, while their colleagues in the control room took the above picture of the operation.
