Thousands of people flocked to a sunny Falmouth International Sea Shanty Festival yesterday with groups from all over the world taking part.

There was a great atmosphere and the waterfront was buzzing with more events going on today.

The day culminated with a sea shanty gala concert at the Princess pavilion in front of a sold out audience.

Vocal groups and instrumental groups performed all over the town, whether in the street or on stages to delighted audiences.

There will be plenty more singing groups performing at venues across the town.

This morning there will be a special workshop and performance with local Brownie groups.

The workshop, run by Hans Weehuizen alongside Rum & Shrub Shantymen, will teach the groups about maritime history, song, puppetry and performance, along with taster lessons of The Bones.

At 11.20am you can see the Brownies at the Watersports Centre as they are presented with their Bones Badges and join Hans Weehuizen and The Nauti Bouys in a few shanty tunes.
