Pupils at Penryn Primary Academy had a special visit on Thursday when a rugby player from the Cornish Pirates dropped in to run some training sessions.
Back row player Tom Duncan, who has a week off from pre-season training, used his spare time to help the school with a a bit of training, taking three different classes through a range of exercises and organising small games for them.
Tom said: "I have just come down to the school to help out and do a little bit for the community. I know a lot of the teachers here and it was to do them a bit of a favour.
"It's going well and the children seem to be enjoying it
"There's a lot with a pretty big interest in rugby, some have never played it before, some are into their third or fourth year.
"I'm trying to get them to enjoy it, especially the girls."
