Brazilian beats broke out at St Francis School in Falmouth on Friday as pupils enjoyed an afternoon of music and dancing.
Just over a month before the Olympics kicks off in Rio, the children got a taste of Brazilian culture with drumming lessons and dance lessons from community samba group Daka Doum.
The year two class have been studying Brazil as part of their curriculum, including learning about rhythms across the country.
Jo Hambly, class teacher, said: "Our recent topic is about comparing Britain and Brazil, so we've been trying to incorporate their music and dance curriculum into that throughout the topic.
"We have had three work shops now and they are going to do a performance for the parents .
"They have been enjoying it, this has really brought it to life."
