New images of a man missing from Penryn have been released today on the month anniversary of his disappearance.

Lee Gilbert has not been seen since June 9 and the photos, taken from CCTV cameras at Truro train station, are believed to be the last known sighting of him.

A police spokesperson said: “We have today released two new images of Lee taken at Truro train station. These were taken at around 5.20pm June 9 and appear to be the last images we have of Lee.

“Are you in these images or have you seen Lee after this point? If so we would like to hear from you as you could have information vital to our investigation and could help us locate Lee.”

In the screen captures Mr Gilbert can be seen next to the turnstiles in the entrance hall of the station, close to the ticket machine, and again on the platform.

Officers have been carrying out enquiries and searching the local area to try and find Mr Gilbert but so far he has not been found.

He is aged 39 and described as white, 5ft 3ins tall, of medium build, with brown greying hair which is balding at the back. He has a beard and tattoos on both arms and legs. Police have also stressed that he has lost weight since a previously released photograph was taken.

He may be wearing brown Karrimor hiking boots, grey cargo shorts, a blue and white short-sleeved check shirt, and carrying a small black rucksack.

Lee is thought to be on foot and is usually in and around the Penryn, Falmouth and Truro areas.

The latest appeal comes a week after police asked for the person who handed in Mr Gilbert’s bus pass to come forward.

The pass was handed to a bus driver on the same day that Mr Gilbert went missing, but the details of where and how the card was found were unknown.

Mr Gilbert’s family have become increasingly concerned for his welfare as time goes on, as his disappearance is out of character.
