Despite the blustery forecast there was still a great turn out recently at South West Lakes Trust’s Family Wildlife Day at Argal Lake.
All those who attended got stuck in with making bird feeders, bug hunting, nature crafts and quiz trails. Although it was too windy for the fishing taster session, a local angler caught a carp just below where the event was being held and everyone enjoyed having a look at it.
Beth Heasman, countryside warden for South West Lakes Trust, said: "Thanks to everyone who came along to our event and for all the donations. Money raised from these events at Argal are going towards a fund for making improvements to the play area at the lake."
The South West Lakes Trust is an environmental and recreational charity which managed reservoirs on behalf of South West Water for conservation and recreation purposes.
