Video filmed by landlady Helen Congdon from the Finn M'couls pub in Falmouth has revealed how shocking the amount of water pouring down Killigrew Street in Market Strand on Tuesday evening was.
She said: "I have never seen anything like it. It was horrendous. I have been here 16 years and it's the worst I have ever seen.
Two cars are caught out by the flood pouring into the road.
One only just makes it through before stalling while another gets stuck, the driver appearing not knowing what to do as Helen operating the camera shouts at them to go back. There are also screams from pedestrians as they try to battle the flood.
