Cornwall seems to have escaped the worst of the damage after another stormy night in the county following Storm Angus.

There are no reports of any serious flooding or damage but train services from London, Bristol and Taunton are still not running due to flooding.

People trying to return to Falmouth, Penryn and Truro yesterday were turned away at Paddington being told that the trains were not running due to flooding but that their tickets would be valid today.

However they remain stranded today as trains are still not running above Taunton this morning. Flood warnings remain in force Devon.

The Met office is forecasting that for Cornwall it will be staying cloudy with outbreaks of showery rain continuing for many, still locally heavy across parts of Cornwall, although slowly easing through the afternoon. Strong winds around exposed coasts at first, although these gradually abating, but remaining generally cold. Maximum Temperature 10C.

It will slowly turn drier overnight, although still rather cloudy scattered showers occasionally affecting the far west of the region. Perhaps turning foggy for some by dawn. Minimum Temperature 4C.

On Wednesday any showers easing to leave a generally cloudy day with a few brighter breaks, especially later. Staying cold and perhaps turning breezier by the evening. Maximum Temperature 10C.
