Officers from Falmouth's marine crime unit are asking for help to locate an outboard motor which was stolen from a boat on the Penryn River on Sunday.
Falmouth Boatwatch have asked the public if they have seen the engine, and said: "We have received a report of theft of a Yamaha 2HP outboard engine from a tender which was moored near the Greenbank Hotel on the Penryn River, Falmouth."
The engine has a serial number of 6AI082824K and was stolen some time between 12pm and 4pm on June 4.
Anyone with information regarding the theft, or who recalls seeing someone suspicious or has CCTV covering the water is asked to call 101 quoting CR/043948/17.
