The Trelawny Singers have thanked their supporters with a free concert and pasty supper at St Pirans Hall in Goldsithney where they handed over thousands of pounds to a Cornish children's charity.

The group raise money for Children’s Hospice South West by singing for a small fee and selling CDS, and they are also popular at local weddings.

During their recent concert, the singers handed over a cheque for £7,000 to Alice Merritt, the new community fundraiser for Little Harbour Cornwall Children’s Hospice.

Their guests for the evening were the West Cornwall duet duo, and twin sisters, Jenna and Morwenna Matthews who perform as Twin Harmony, assisted by their parents.

Chairman for the night was Adrian Wilton who kept the concert rolling with his hilarious stories and jokes.

A lot of the money raised comes from the guests at the Rosemundy Hotel in St Agnes where the group sings regularly.
