A MUM of three from Falmouth who took up modelling to inspire other mums to follow their dreams has been selected as a finalist in the UK's biggest top model search.

Clare White, 32, who lives in Ashfield Gardens, has been selected in the over 25's category for the finals of Top Model UK which takes place in London in April 2018. All the revenue from the event goes to the charity Children with Cancer UK with each contestant tasked with raising £500.

"I was delighted when I got a response back from them saying I had been selected as a finalist after the audition process," said Clare. "My son said 'Wow I can't believe my mum is going to London to be a top model on the catwalk.'

"It made me so happy to think my son was proud of me."

She added: "This is a incredible opportunity for me to be a part of this competition.

"I am a part of the Falmouth Road Runners Club and recently got into running last year with gave me a new found confidence and I got my figure back after having my twin girls age seven years and my son now 12-yrs-old.

"I did the competition mainly to inspire other mums that just because you have had children nothing should stop you following your dreams and you can still look like a model.

"I am flying up to London on February 3 for the coaching weekend to meet the team. I am so excited.

"I have only ever entered Miss Cornwall when I was 16-yrs-old and came third place overall so this is the biggest competition I have ever entered.

"The difference it has made to my family is a positive role model. A mum to be proud of and shows them that no matter what age you are to follow your dreams, work hard achieve goals to be discipline and devotion."
