Pupils from Falmouth's five primary schools have been handing out daffodils to shoppers and shop workers this morning at the start of the Spring Festival.
The children, helped by students from the University of Exeter, distributed 35,000 daffodils donated by Greenyard Flowers, at the Paint the Town Yellow event.
Pupils came from Falmouth Primary Academy, King Charles, St Francis, St Mary's Schools and reception children from Marlborough. Accompanied by school staff, they set off from The Moor and were sent in all directions to cover as much of the town centre as possible.
Organised by Falmouth BID, the Spring Festival now runs until April 2 and includes spring clean days, which take place this weekend, along with guided walks, an underwater litter pick, the Falmouth Spring Flower Show at the Princess Pavilion and the four-day Folk and Cider Festival on Events Square.
