Just as it was starting to get warmer, snow showers are expected to hit Cornwall again on Sunday.

Luckily the conditions aren't expected to be as bad as those during the 'beast from the east' a few weeks ago, which brought much of the county to a standstill.

Ice and snow is expected on Sunday, bringing with it low temperatures and high winds.

Temperatures are expected to drop to around zero, but the strong winds are likely to make it feel much colder.

The Met Office warnings for snow and ice begin at 6pm on Friday for eastern Scotland and England, and run into all of Saturday, but the warnings don't extend to Cornwall until Sunday.

The warnings state that travel disruption is possible, rural communities could become cut off, vehicles may be stranded and power cuts may occur.

But there's no need to panic too much, as it should quickly warm up again after the weekend, with temperatures rising back to average by Tuesday.

The Northern and Eastern parts of the country could be facing much harsher conditions, with 10in of snow predicted in some parts of the country.
