Clocks are due to go to forward this Sunday (March 25) as British Summer Time comes into effect.
At 1:00am GMT, clocks will go forward by one hour to welcome in the Spring, which officially starts today (Tuesday March 20).
This will mean that there will be more hours of sunlight in the evenings and less in the mornings.
British Summer Time was introduced in 1916 as a way to save on fuel costs, and from 1968-1971 there was a short lived experiment to implement GMT+1 year-round.
There is still some debate over whether the UK should move the clocks forward an hour year-round, and although this would mean brighter evenings in the winter, it would also mean darker mornings with the sun only rising at 10am in parts of Northern England and Scotland.
